POM C (polyoxymethylene (copolymer))

POM is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and stiffness. It offers good sliding properties, excellent wear resistance and low moisture absorption. Thanks to its good dimensional stability, outstanding fatigue strength and excellent machinability, POM C is an extremely versatile engineering material – even for complex components.
POM C offers higher impact strength and higher abrasion resistance than POM H. The chemical resistance of POM C is also higher and the melting point is lower.

  • POM C ELS – electrically conductive
  • POM C blue – as a visual identifier for use in the food industry
  • POM C GF – glass fiber additive
  • POM C MD – metal detectable
  • POM C MG – for use in medical technology
