PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol)

PETG is frequently used in the food industry because, unlike PC, PETG is food-grade in optical quality (sheets up to approx. 15 mm thick). However, the impact strength is somewhat lower than that of PC. PETG is more resistant to organic solvents and alkalis than PC. Both materials are susceptible to scratching, although polishing is easier with PC.
