Plastic parts for pharmaceutical packaging

In the pharmaceutical packaging sector, sensitive products such as tablets or medical liquids are often packaged or repackaged. In many applications, the plastic part comes into direct contact with the product and must meet requirements similar to those in medical device technology. We support our customers with our know-how and experience in the production and development of plastic parts that enable ever higher volumes to be packaged with increased efficiency.

In the pharmaceutical packaging sector, plastics are mainly used that have the following properties:

  • low weight – energy efficiency
  • High mechanical strength, stiffness and dimensional stability
  • high chemical resistance – resistant to many cleaning agents
  • improved sliding & friction properties
  • High wear resistance
  • reduced noise
  • physiologically harmless plastics or ELS – or AST plastics for ATEX applications
  • Temperature resistance
  • Hydrolysis resistance
